We do not stand neutral before God. His law reveals what we are: not merely imperfect, but guilty. Sin is the breaking of God\u2019s Law and justice must be served. Every attempt at self-justification eventually fails, because\n the problem lies deeper than behaviour. The good news is that God has dealt with sin in Christ the Son. He offered Himself in the place of sinners. At the cross, justice was fully satisfied and the debt was paid in full. God did not relax His standard to save;\n He fulfilled it through Christ. What Christ accomplished is received by faith. Those who trust in Him are forgiven, counted righteous and reconciled to God, not through effort or moral reform, but through union with Christ.
